1. The President called the meeting to order at approximately 1.30 pm.
2. Minutes of last meeting. There had been no meeting in 2020 due to COVID
3. Financial report: Treasurer Robert Schoppe. Robert reported that our financial position remained sound, with $7,169 in the General Fund. The Hole in One fund remained at $5,061. There was some discussion about making this fund available for “double eagles”, but it was felt better to continue with the current rule.
4. Officers:
The Treasurer term expires on 12/31/21. Robert Schoppe was willing to serve another two year term. No other person had indicated a wish to stand. Robert was elected Treasurer for another term, beginning January 1, 2022, by voice vote.
The proposal for Bob Loeb to serve on the Board for another year was not discussed. As no objection was raised, this is considered approved.
5. Golf Genius Matt Sipko of Watters Creek gave a presentation of the features and use of the “Golf Genius” software.
6. Matt also presented two awards: To Scott Munse for the most birdies and another for the most “Triple bogeys or worse”.
Joe Cline presented Matt and Roy Williams (handicaps) with gift cards to recognize their help to the Association over the past year. Jeff Dresner (Closest to the pin), not present, was also recognized.
7. New handicap system: Joe gave an overview of the handicap software to be used effective January 1, 2022, and the need for the change. He noted there would be a cost of $6 per year per player and that the Association would cover this cost for 2022.
He noted that the USGA GHIN system would cost $25 per player.
8. Championship winners: these were announced.
9. Any other business:
Slow play was discussed. Matt said that our target was to complete rounds in 4 ½ hours. Until all players achieved this, the course was not willing to have a shotgun start every week.
10. The meeting closed at approximately 2.15 pm.
